Just wanted to announce our next sermon series that kicks off next weekend. The series is titled influence and we've got an amazing line-up of speakers. We kick off with former NFL MVP, Shaun Alexander. Then we'll profile some NCCers who are making a difference right here in DC. Week 3 we have a 93 year-old businessman named Stanley Tam who has given away more than $120 million. And we wrap it up with mom and author, Sue Aughtmon. Her book, All I need is Jesus and a Good Pair of Jeans, is a must-read for moms!

Thought I would take you up on connecting through blogging as I am a bit of a laggard in the Twitter department:)
I wanted to share something with you that I thought was kind of neat. Jon's friend Aldo from Peru came to church with us Sunday the 29th for the first time. (Not sure he has ever really been to church.)
Anyway, a group of us went to lunch after and I asked him what he thought of the service. He said he really liked the Pastor's eyes and the way he smiled. I expected him to comment on the content of the message so when he said what he did it got me thinking: what he observed was the love of Christ through you.
He also thought the pig thing was pretty funny...
