Discipleship Atlas
We kick off our spring semester next week! We had some design delays, but the new and improved Discipleship Atlas will be distributed this weekend.
At NCC, discipleship happens in the context of small groups. And because it is so important, we started producing a small group guide a few years ago. We were convicted by the fact that we did external marketing really well--getting people in our front door. But we didn't do a good job of internal marketing--getting people plugged into our small groups. So we started producing a small group guide every sememster.
Our job as spiritual leaders is to create opportunities where people can connect with God and connect with others. And I think the "connect with others" part is extra important in a city like DC with a demographic like NCC. It can be a pretty lonely place. And I've seen too many twenty-somethings fall away from God because they get in the wrong circle of friends.
For what it's worth, when NCCers get the Discipleship Atlas we ask them prayerfully read through it and ask the Holy Spirit to lead them to the right group.
